Calcarb’s CVI range is produced by the densification of CBCF materials by Isothermal Chemical Vapour Infiltration of Carbon from natural gas.
The carbon deposit is evenly distributed throughout the CBCF Materials, sheathing the carbon fibres in a protective layer. This reduces the rate of reaction in most chemical environments, reducing the materials reactivity.
