Environmental Policy
Calcarb Ltd is a leading manufacturer of Carbon Bonded Carbon Fibre (CBCF) rigid thermal insulation material, supplying a global customer base.
Calcarb Ltd understands the importance of minimising its impacts on the environment. It is the policy of Calcarb Ltd to seek continuous improvement in environmental performance through the implementation and maintenance of an Environmental Management System certified to the International Standard ISO 14001:1996.
Calcarb Ltd is committed to the prevention of pollution and will endeavour to continuously improve its environmental performance by regular monitoring and review of the Environmental Management System. The most significant environmental aspects of the company’s activities are water, power and raw material usage, air emissions and general waste which Calcarb Ltd intends to minimise or wherever practical, eliminate.
Calcarb Ltd will comply with all relevant current and future environmental legislation and other regulations as required under U.K. and E.U. law and as administered by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA).
This policy shall be communicated to all employees and all interested parties, including suppliers, service providers and will also be made available to the general public. Access to this policy will be made available on request. This policy shall also be displayed on the notice boards.
Calcarb Ltd maintains an Environmental Management System to identify objectives and targets to help control the significant environmental impacts of our activities. These objectives and targets will be regularly reviewed by the Environmental team and authorised by the full Senior Management team annually during Management Review Meetings.
Whilst it is accepted that the primary responsibility for good environmental practice rests with the Senior Management Team, it is the responsibility of all employees to ensure that this policy is upheld and to assist Calcarb Ltd in maintaining an effective Environmental Management System. The Environmental team shall be responsible for driving continual improvement in overall environmental performance.
Calcarb Ltd will maintain and continuously improve the ISO14001:1996 certified Environmental Management System and shall strive to ensure that environmental issues are a fundamental factor in all business activities.
